The round top with a book matched rosewood veneer, a thick marquetry inlayed border of holly leaves, above an acanthus gilt bronze frieze, on a turned column with a gilt bronze beaded and fluted ring with acanthus stretching up the column,resting on a plateform base with gilt bronze chain mail mounts on scallop shell feet.
