A Pair of George II carved gilt-wood Pier Glasses in the manner of Matthias Lock. This pair of mirrors encapsulates the highly imaginative fancfuly design of the french picturesque that prevailed in the mid-18th century with the nautlistic plam wraped pallister frames, intwined floral swaggs with icicles and crowned with musical monkeys.
